Map of Florence City Sightseeing routes

The Florence City Sightseeing service usually operates two main lines. Choosing the right one depends on your schedule and interests.

🔴 Line A: The "Classics" Loop

Best for: First-timers, art lovers, and short stays.

This route hugs the city walls and the Arno river. It’s strictly urban but very scenic.

  • Vibe: Busy, exciting, packed with landmarks.
  • Must-Hop Stops:
    • Stop 6 (Porta Romana): Access to Boboli Gardens back entrance.
    • Stop 10 (Piazzale Michelangelo): The postcard view.
    • Stop 13 (Santa Croce): Near the historic center.

🔵 Line B: The "Green" Escape

Best for: Returning visitors, nature lovers, panoramic views.

This route is longer and ventures North-East towards Fiesole.

  • Vibe: Relaxing, leafy, breezy.
  • Must-Hop Stops:
    • Fiesole Main Square: An ancient Etruscan/Roman town.
    • Museo del Calcio (Football Museum): For soccer fans, located near the Coverciano training ground.

Can I switch lines?

Yes! Most tickets allow you to use both lines interchangeably. Intersection Point: Both lines usually cross at Stop 1 (Stazione) and near the river.

Recommendation

If you have 48 hours, dedicate Day 1 to Line A (hopping off frequently) and Day 2 to a continuous loop of Line B to relax.
